Food for the Hungry was started in 1971 and has grown into one of the largest non-profits in the world while providing health and hunger relief, along with emergency aid, to literally millions of people. FH provides families with good food, clean water, clothing, medicine, spiritual nurturing, and a sufficient dwelling for each child sponsored. Today, “FH” receives over $300 million per year in donations and gifts-in-kind and has established itself firmly with a permanent presence in over 30 countries worldwide. FH is also very proud to now mention that $.93 of every $1.00 donated reaches the field directly to the specific child that is being sponsored.
