Q. What else will I need if I am accepted?
A. You will be sent a “list of things to bring” included in the acceptance packet.
Q: What about housing?
A: JMC is blessed to have some of the best homeopeners in the country. A homeopener is a family is a family who opens their home to JMC students for the duration of their traning. The Homeopener provides a private room and bathroom. We love our homeopeners because they help us keep our cost down.
Q: So how do I get started?
A: First, read through the information included with your application packet, then prayerfully fill out the enclosed application. have your pastor complete the accompanying references form, and return both to us with a required processing fee of $25.00 (US $). please do not send cash; make checks or money orders payable to Journey Church.
Q: What can i expect a typical day of JMC to be like?
A:The daily schedule is rigorous, to say the least. our focus is dicipline, so we keep the morning from professional prayer and bible study to praise and worship, as well as working on the required academic courses of study. You may be memorizing scripture verses (a total of 150+ at the conclusion of the first year) or studying for an upcoming exam. You may hear an inspiring talk by Pastor Jeff Allred, A JMC staff member, or an indivigual from Journey Church’s leadership team.
In the afternoons and evenings you will prepare for home groups, services, upcoming outreaches, or school assembies, but one thing is for sure; you will definatly get hands-on ministry expierence. Quite honestly, we are all aware that Jesus knew his purpose and servanthood(Matthew 20:28) and we must not think ourselves better than he was! Constantly, we here at JMC are not afraid to roll up our sleeves and do the unglamorous work either!
Q: How long does it take for the application proccess?
A: It is our heart to see the will of God come to pass in your life. The application process involves one or two interviews in which we strive to discern the right direction for your life. Once we recieve your application, we will contact you for an interview after which, we will pray over the application and seek Gods direction. Within about two weeks after the interview, you will recieve a response letter from JMC.
Q: Does everyone automatically get accepted ?
A. Not every person who applies to JMC is accepted. We are looking for those individuals who are ready willing to give their all for 9 months and have Christ change their lives forever.
